Logitech Mouse false low battery indicator fix works for WINDOWS 7 |

IMPORTANT Please read before using this fix YOU MUST BE CONECTED TO THE INTERNET | |||

If you using a laptop you can ignore this section skip to section 3 | |||
|
|
If you are using a Desktop computerYou will require a second keybord and mouse (NOT LOGITECH) to be connected to your computer as for a short time your logitech Keyboard and mouse will not function | |||
|
|
||||
|

With a second mouse and keyboard connected make sure that both keyboards and mice are functioning if they don't function DO NOT PROCEED | |||
|

||||
|

Click on Start (THE FLAG IN THE BOTOM LEFT HAND CORNER OF MONITOR) RIGHT click |

|

on Computer then click on manage you will see the following screen | |||

Click on Device Manager You will see the following screen | |||

Click on the little arrow to the left of mouse to display all the mouse drivers as displayed as below | |||
| AS I HAVE ALLREADY FIXED THE PROBLEM ON THIS COMPUTER WHERE ON THE DISPLAY | ||||
| BELOW IT DISPLAYS HD-compliant mouse your Display will indicate Logitech HD compliant mouse | ||||
| or similar description depending on the model of Logitech mouse. | ||||

Right click on the logitech mouse and select unimstall | |||
|

||||
|

Unplug your USB receiver for your Logitech Mouse and Keyboard | |||
|
|
||||
|

Remove BOTH Batteries from your Logitcch mouse | |||
|
|
||||
|

With youre other mouse SHUTDOWN your computer DO NOT SELECT RESTART | |||
|

||||
|

Restart your computer leaving your logitech receiver unpluged WITH THE BATTERIES STIL REMOVED | |||

When your computer has restarted unplug the non logitech mouse and plug in your Logitech receiver into the USB port |

normaly you will soon get a error saying that the driver was not installed correctly this error is caused by | |||
|
|
the missing batteries and the computer could not detect mouse.but has detected the mouse receiver |
|||
|
13 |
incert your batteries back into your mouse | |||
|
|
||||
|
14 |
press the red button on the underside of the mouse the green light will show for a short time | |||
|
|
||||
|
15 |
your computer will search microsoft windows update for a compatable basic non logitech driver | |||
| ALLOW TIME FOR WINDOWS TO INSTALL A DRIVER | ||||
|
16 |
go back to the mouse driver screen and confirm that the logitech driver has been replaced with | |||
|
|
HD-compliant mouse you will nolonger get the flashing light on the mouse or the popup on your screen | |||
|
|
||||
|
11 |
If you have installed any software to automaticly update your drivers make sure it is disables for | |||
| the Logitech driver | ||||
